Saturday 21st March at 7pm

Spring 2026.jpg

The Tritone Singers' Spring Concert at 7pm on Saturday 21st March 2026 is directed by Richard Wilkins and returning to the popular and welcoming venue of Christ Church, Totland.

It will be a concert of Sacred Choral music and, with guest organist Michael Stevenson, we will open with Stanford’s “Te Deum”, a grand and elaborate setting of the traditional Christian canticle. Also in the programme is Finzi’s “God is gone up” which is celebratory and lively as well as Howard Goodall’s ever popular “The Lord is my Shepherd”.

Some of the a cappella pieces Tritone will perform are Grieg’s angelic and peaceful Ave Maris Stella and Herbert Howell’s dramatic and intricate “Salve Regina”. Rheinburger’s “Abendlied” has a serene flowing melody with rich harmonic texture, written when he was just sixteen and Rachmaninov’s “Bogoroditsye Dyevo” is a Russian Orthodox liturgical text based on the “Hail Mary” prayer, with powerful emotion and melodic beauty.

So come along to hear Michael Stevenson pull out all the stops and The Tritone Singers bring this music to your ears. We look forward to welcoming many of you.

Tickets are £10 (children free) click on button above or on the door.
